My name is Tran Thien Lam (Larren)
I have gained
considerable experience in more than 10 years of work with several major
companies in Vietnam to support the CEO, top level management and their teams
in development and strategic planning. I was also tasked with developing
company wide solutions and implement tasks assigned by the Board of Management. I have gained valuable working experience
across a wide range of business sectors including Aviation, Banking and
Finance, Corporate Business Development and Operations, Construction and FMCG.
After returning to Vietnam, I
started working for Investco Joint Stock Company, a well-known construction
company. As an Assistant Project manager, my responsibility was to support the Project
Director in his daily operations that included document translation, reports of
progress on the Companies projects and other administrative duties. At
Investco, I learned how to work as part of a team and how to accomplish the
assigned tasks by management in a timely manner.
By the invitation
of Mr. Robert Roy O’Neil in 2009, I joined East Asia Global Alliance JSC (EA|GA)
as a Business Development Manager cum Assistant to Chairman. East Asia Global
Alliance is a US company specializing in Business Development, Strategic Business
and Project Consulting. They have assisted many companies that have come to
Vietnam, completed several Urban Planning and Design assignments, developed two
regional telecommunication companies including an undersea submarine cable
consortium linking the southern Asian region with the United States. As a
Business Development Manager cum Assistant to Chairman, my responsibility included
supporting the chairman of EA|GA in his daily activities including progress monitoring
and control of many projects, carry out companywide market research, assist in
the evaluation of all projects the company was looking at and develop a
business plan and financial model for the purpose of calling for investment. In
2010, Mr. Railton was honored to be invited by the President of Philippines to be
the key note speaker in a renewable energy development and planning conference.
Mr. Railton was introduced by the President of The Philippines at the
conference along with announcing that the Philippines was going to develop a
100mw solar plant under the guidance of Mr. Railton. I was assigned to develop
a team, carry out the necessary market research, assess site surveys and
develop the solar business plan. My
business plan was accepted and the project went forward in the Muslim Arm
Region of the Philippines with the support of the president of the Philippines.
In September
2011, I was officially recruited by the Managing Director of Viet Jet Air, the
first private airlines company in Vietnam, as an Assistant to the Board of
Management. My responsibilities were to support the Managing Director in his
daily operations including follow up with overall operations activity within the
organization, manage a progress reporting of projects, implement an aircraft
leasing activity, participate in a uniform process of pilot recruiting and team
up with department heads to implement tasks assigned by the Board of Management.
Results from our team contributed to the successful initial operating
activities of the airline. In June 2012, I was officially assigned by the
Managing Director to Cooperate closely with VietJet’s Head of Engineering, Mr.
Hassan, to develop a Fleet Management Plan which resulted in an annual
reduction of over 1 million USD.
My farther,
Mr. Tran Phi Van, Chairman of Natural Linh Chi Mushroom (NLM) Corporation
requested me to support him as Managing Director in the startup activities of
his company. My responsibility was to develop a strategic business plan for the
purpose of calling for investment. We successfully raised 1.5 million USD following
my plan. My responsibilities were to build a supply chain system, negotiate
with vendors especially foreign vendors on product, quality and delivery
schedules, develop a sales and marketing channel, and develop a customer portfolio
with marketing activities for the purpose of promotion and advertising our
products. Within 1 year of launching, Linh Chi Cognac product has officially
been presented to 10 out of 60 provinces in Vietnam. Linh Chi Cognac product is
distributed by major companies in Vietnam such as Viet Jet Air, Sacombank,
Investco Join stock Company, Vissan, Inexim, NAHI join stock company and more.
In September
2014 by the invitation of the CEO of NAHI Joint Stock Company, I was invited to
work as Executive Assistant cum Advisor to NAHI Joint stock Company. My job was
to support The CEO in a process of developing a 5 year strategic plan and carry
out the restructuring activity based on this plan. I was also tasked to audit
work performance of all departments within an organization, including finance,
sales, marketing, human resource, administration and technical departments. Within
3 months. I had developed the plan, successfully executed the performance
review of the departments within NAHI At this time, my responsibilities were to
support CEO in developing the risk management plan of the company that include
media risk, financial risk, operation risk, human resource risk and operation
risk. I was assigned by the CEO, to work with the Human Resource Department for
the process of recruiting senior management positions that included the Financial
Director, Chief Operating Officer, Business Director, Legal Manager, ERP manger
and several senior and mid-level positions. Results of my efforts in executing
the vision of NAHI’s CEO vision expanded NAHI from 80 employees to 250
employees and implemented the ERP system. I also developed a plan to help NAHI
reduce over 6 billion VND of its operation expenses over a 5-year period.
In my free
time, I usually read books and participate in many business seminars for the
purpose of developing my knowledge and business network. I am also a muay thai
fighter which helps me to release stress and challenge myself to achieve new
goals in my life. With the slogan “Our value is your success”, my responsibility

integrity.
